Quoting AngelsandDemons:
Hellblade: Did you all play the game with headphones? The experience becomes a whole different thing with those dang voice popping off in your different ears and become somewhat necessary when solving the puzzles. I found some of the puzzles to be somewhat broken because missing a cue would have you perpetually lost and unable to proceed. I found the end message to focus on "there is hope" as opposed to you can get through anything with personal determination.

I played the game with a surround sound system, and like you said, it's a whole different thing with directional audio. I think the game even has a disclaimer at the start to play it with headphones or some kind of speaker set-up. I never got lost or confused by the puzzles, but that is largely in part due to those audio cues.

Nier: I was never fooled by humanity being dead. Never played Nier 1; but, I just figured with such sentient robots, humans would have to have some visible communication with them during the game, otherwise the characters and story would be uninspiring (boring) as heck....which it was. So, I was waiting for a twist that never happened and I started a second play through and quit at the 1st base camp; however, hearing you guys talk about it makes me want to give it another chance but there's too many other games to play.
