I made a thread kinda sorta similar to this last year I think. Basically just post really good to great 2016 movies that didn't get nominated for a bunch of awards or made a fuckload of cash at the box office. Overlooked gems if you will. This is mostly for selfish reasons so I can catch up on some stuff I either ignored or simply didn't know existed. I'll make a couple contributions:



^ It's a Richard Linklater flick and is the spiritual successor to Dazed and Confused. 'Nuff said.

Eh I was also gonna mention Nocturnal Animals but now that I think about it I'm pretty sure a lot of you have already seen it. But if not check it out. It's different, but rad. Cept for dancing slo mo fat chicks.

Oh and Green Room.



Green Room is pretty damn alright if you can deal with the teenagers being complete and total morons.

Im sure none of you have watched Kimi no Na Wa and its a good film to recommend but I feel like something will break inside me if I do recommend it.
