Fuuuuuck, next Tuesday is going to hurt the fuck out of my wallet. Gravity and Nebraska come out on video as well as the new Thief game, and I'm gonna buy the shit out of each and every one of them.

Yeah that's right Aljosa, I waited to see Gravity in HD mother fucker. YOU'RE WELCOME.

If a movie needs a theatre experience to make it good, then it didn't have much going for it in the first place.

I kind of agree. A movie should be good in itself, but certain movies benefit greatly from theatre experiences, I don't think no movies like this should exist. A lot of people still go to the theatres, so tailoring the experience isn't terribly sinful.

Sure, I believe that a lot of films benefit from the theatre. I just see the sentiment a lot that "if you didn't see it in theatres, you are doing it wrong" and that's just silly.

If you can enjoy "Lawrence of Arabia" at home, you can enjoy any movie at home. If you can't, there is something wrong with the movie, not the venue.

That said, there are certainly movies that are more worth making the effort to see on the big screen than others.
