3 hours and mane is this game amazing. Challenging too. Reminds me of Dark souls and zone of the enders 2.


boss fights are definitely hype though.

The ost is hands down in my top 10 though. fucking incredible.

And on that note I think I need to refrain from spending any more money on games for a while. 2017 been expensive.

Wow dude, this game is not what I expected. I had like no idea about the Dark Souls-esque network shit. Not that I'm complaining, but is literally everybody copying Dark Souls these days? LOL. Anywho, game seems really badass so far. I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

The opening is suitably action packed and epic as Platinum titles go, but not quite as good as original Nier's, at least on a narrative level. In terms of sheer atmosphere and emotional feels Nier had this game beat in it's first 10 seconds. I'll give it time to build it's world though. I expect nothing short of greatness in the end.

the third boss is so fucking amazing.

Some of the quests are pretty funny. Robots developing emotions is rather fun.

good game.

What I like is the combat, music and lore.

What I don't like is the bland and almost ps2 level environments.

What I hate is enemy designs, those Michelin-Man fuckers are too soft looking to take them serious.

Beat Route A. so good. My favorite boss fight was earlier in the route, but there is one epic boss fight that is just full on Zone of the enders 2.

So far this game has just been a speedier and less nuanced retelling of Nier's plot. There's certainly more 'splosions, more ninja antics. It's like Nier for bro gamers. Wheres the subtlety? Where are the wonderful companions like Weiss and Kaine? Where's the delightful party banter and dialogue? This game is Nier-Lite so far.

Sounds like positives to me.

If you're a simpleton, sure.

Sure does take a simpleton to enjoy Nier.
